Carry on Cabby Driving Lesson
Here's a new feature following a remark left in a comment. It a link to a driving scene in Carry on Cabby. Click to see the FX3 in action (albeit slightly speeded up footage in places)
Are there any other films that showcase the FX4 / Fairway? I can only think of 28 days later with the taxi escape out of London and the lonely drive up the M6.
If you can think of any and can find it on youtube then please post a link in the comments.

Great film with lots of FX3's, but I think the Taxi in this clip is earlier then an FX3. There was a similar one at last years Classic Car show at the NEC, I believe it was an Austin Low Loader. Malc.

DeleteYou're absolutely right. School boy error. The car in question is indeed the Austin 12/4 Low Loader taxi from the mid-1930s. What a mistake!
Re: Taxi films, what about "Adventures of a taxi driver". Can't find a link on Youtube but it's got it's own page on wikipedia!! It came out in 1976 so it must have plenty of FX4's. Malc.
ReplyDeleteYes there are plenty of shots of FX4s.Can be downloaded from Frostwire.
